Henry Lawson was and remains Australia's best known and loved poet. His short stories which appeared in The Bulletin magazine in the late 1800's and early 1900s are a chronicle of the times; poignant and funny and beautifully written. Lawson's colourful life was as public and fascinating as the characters he created - he was a very Australian tragi-comic character with a fantastic talent to write.
In "On the Wallaby - A Salute to Henry Lawson" actor/writer Max Cullen takes us on an hilarious and moving journey through the life and times of this great Australian.
